Here is some information about how to drive to the Pittsford
Indoor Rowing Center. The simplest way may be to
follow Mapquest.
If you prefer verbal instructions, the Pittsford Indoor Rowing
Center is located just north of Jefferson Rd, on Clover Street,
in the Town of Pittsford. It is located on the east side of
Clover Street, adjacent to the Erie Canal.
From the East:
- Travel west toward Rochester on the NYS Thruway I-90.
- Exit onto I-490 at Exit 45.
- Travel north / west on I-490.
- Exit at Bushnell's Basin Exit.
- At the traffic light at the end of the ramp, turn right.
onto Route 96 (Pittsford - Victor Road at this point).
- Travel straight through Bushnell

- Continue along, the Erie Canal
will become visible on your right.
- Upon crossing Main Street,
continuing straight ahead, Pittsford-Victor Road
becomes Jefferson Road. (Route 96 turns right onto Main
Street: Do not follow it).
- You will pass Pittsford Sutherland High School on your right.
Continue straight ahead in a westerly direction.
- Turn right (north) onto Clover Street at the first traffic light after passing the high school.
- The entrance to the boat house
is a sharp, hairpin turn, after Gallea's Nursery and after the
bridge over the railroad tracks.
- You will have proceeded too far
if you cross the Erie Canal.
From the West:
- Travel east toward Rochester on the NYS Thruway I-90.
- Exit onto I-390 at Exit 46.
- Travel north on I-390.
- Exit at the Route 15A Jefferson Road.
- Turn left (north) at the traffic light at the
end of the ramp onto Route 15A.
- Proceed north on Route 15A approximately 1/8 mile to the
major intersection of Route 15A and
Jefferson Road. The Holiday Inn will be situated on
your right.
- Turn right (east) onto Jefferson Road.
- Continue through multiple traffic lights.
- After crossing Winton Street,
you will pass the Locust Hill Country Club on your left. Continue
to the next light.
- Turn left (north) onto Clover
Street at the traffic light.
- The entrance to the boat house
is a sharp, hairpin turn, after Gallea's Nursery and after the
bridge over the railroad tracks.
- You will have proceeded too far
if you cross the Erie Canal.
